Opinion Outpost is a free online survey panel.  They provide market research to medium and large corporations as well as political parties.

Opinion Outpost is well established in the industry, and has a high volume of surveys on a regular basis.

Membership Process

Membership with Opinion Outpost is free.  You simply sign up for a members account.

During the signup process they collect some simple information about you.  Signup can be completed in just a couple minutes.  After you submit your information, a confirmation email will be sent to you.  This email will have a link that you will need to follow to confirm your membership.

After your membership is confirmed you will be able to login to the Opinion Outpost Members Area and will become immediately eligible to start receiving survey invites.

Member Profiles - These are Important!!

In your account area they have a series of profile questions. Some are about things like the type of car you drive, some are about travel habits etc. These profiles tell Opinion Outpost a little bit about you, and it is how they qualify you for surveys. It is very important that you take a few minutes and fill these out after you signup. The more information you provide, the more surveys you will qualify for, the more surveys they will send you and the more money you can earn.

About the Surveys

Most of the surveys from Opinion Outpost are under 20 questions and can be completed fairly quickly. Longer surveys earn you more points. Some surveys you are invited to have additional screener questions to see if you qualify to take the full survey.

Earn Points taking Surveys

With Opinion Outpost you earn points for every survey you take. Each point is worth $0.10. The average survey earns you 20-70 points, equaling $2 - $10 dollars.  Long surveys can be as much as $15 to $20.  The number of points awarded tend to reflect the general length of the survey.

These points can be accumulated and later redeemed for cash.

Payouts

You can request a payout whenever you have 50 points ($5) or more. You are in complete control over this. I personally prefer to let my points build up more. You can also choose how many points you redeem, so you can choose to only redeem a part of your points if you wish.

Them Members Area interface includes a “Redeem Points” page.  You just login to your account and redeem your points. In turn Opinion Outpost will then send you a check via mail for the value of your points.  Checks are sent out once a month.
